O festivale
Early Melons je medzinárodný festival študentských filmov v Bratislave, založený v roku 2007. Divákom prináša rôznorodý výber slovenského a európskeho študentského filmu. Festival organizuje nezisková organizácia Festival Skoré melóny, n. o. (Early Melons Festival, n. p. o.), prvý ročník podujatia sa uskutočnil v marci 2008. Poslaním festivalu je reflektovať a prezentovať aktuálny stav študentskej audiovizuálnej tvorby na Slovensku a vytvárať platformu na konfrontáciu s ostatnou európskou tvorbou. Zároveň má umožniť publiku vytvoriť si obraz o aktuálnej študentskej tvorbe doma aj za hranicami Slovenska a posilniť kultúrnu spoluprácu a partnerstvo medzi rôznymi krajinami a filmovými školami.

4th edition of the Early Melons Festival will consist of two main competition sections: international competition and Slovak competition. In the international competition, 33 films from 19 countries will meet, the Slovak competition consists of 12 films from Slovak film schools with year of production 2009 and 2010. International jury will choose winners in categories “best fiction”, “best animation” and “best experimental”. The jury members are Ozan Açıktan (Turkey), Anton Čierny (Slovakia), Anna Klara Åhrén (Sweden) and Oleksandr Debych (Ukraine).
